Terms of use
Last updated 2026-10-22
By using Hand of the Market you agree to these terms. They're short, and written to be read.
Not investment advice
Hand of the Market publishes information derived from public filings. Nothing on the site is investment, legal, tax or financial advice, or a recommendation or offer to buy or sell any security. Badges, checklists, rankings and estimates describe what filings show; they don't say whether a security suits you. We aren't a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, and using the site creates no advisory relationship. Make your own decisions, and consider a qualified professional's advice.
The data
- Information is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a purpose.
- It can contain errors, gaps or delays: filings are parsed automatically, companies sometimes report inconsistently, and some sources are published weeks after the period they describe (13F holdings up to 45 days after the quarter). Check the original filing before relying on any figure.
- Values labelled "HoM est." are our own model's estimates, not reported figures or analysts' forecasts.
- Prices come from IEX and are a reference point only, not official closing prices. Data provided for free by IEX. By accessing or using IEX Historical Data, you agree to the IEX Historical Data Terms of Use.
Using the site
- You may read, link to and share the pages, and quote figures with a link back.
- Automated access must follow robots.txt and stay at a modest rate. Don't scrape the site in bulk, try to get around limits, or disrupt it.
- Don't redistribute the price data or anything derived from it as a dataset; IEX's terms apply to it. SEC and FINRA source data remain available from them directly.
- Company, fund and index names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Hand of the Market and its operator aren't liable for any loss or damage, including investment losses, arising from using the site or relying on its information. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as permitted.
Changes
We may change the site or these terms. The date above shows the latest version; continuing to use the site means accepting it. See also the privacy notice.
